About You

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the science of reading and evidence based pedagogical practices and strategies suitable for teaching Prep to Year Six students. They should be able to work with and mentor teaching teams and individual teachers within classrooms, as well as deliver staff professional learning sessions.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Experience in leading professional learning teams using data to inform teaching and learning.
  • A strong knowledge of the science of reading and evidence-based practices and strategies suitable for teaching Prep to Year Six students.
  • A strong knowledge of how to differentiate to support diverse learners and be a skilled and experienced teacher with recent/relevant classroom experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing structured literacy Prep - Year Six
  • Experience in working with teaching teams and individual teachers within classrooms, as well as delivering staff professional learning sessions aligned to DoE CARF requirements and the Australian Curriculum
  • Knowledge of and a demonstrated leadership of transferable high yield instructional routines.
  • Experience working in settings with students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds would also be advantageous.
