About the School

We are proud to be a Queensland State Special School providing educational programs for Prep to Grade 12 students, residing from Maroochydore to Pelican Waters and west to Beerwah.

We deliver learning experiences that are highly adapted and individualised for students with complex educational needs in a safe, supportive and caring environment.

About the Role

You will be a skilled instructional leader with strong organisational skills and subject expertise.

You will lead curriculum in line with department objectives and strategic vision, and develop school planning, with a focus on quality teaching and learning for improved student achievements.

As the Head of Department (Curriculum) your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Lead the school community in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Promote socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
  • Be future-oriented and strategic.
  • Understand policies and legislation affecting the department.
  • Manage department resources to achieve goals.
