About Us:

Calamvale Community College is a large P-12 school of approximately 2600 students, situated in the southern suburbs of the Metropolitan region. The Head of School, Junior, carries the responsibility to improve the educational outcomes of students in the P-6 phase and contribute to the development and maintenance of a whole of college approach to learning and personal development. The Calamvale Community College, Junior School, delivers the Primary Years Program of the International Baccaluareate.

About the Role:

The Head of School, Junior, ensures the development and delivery of quality teaching and learning, while nurturing positive relationships between all educational and community stakeholders. The Head of School, Junior, reports to the Executive College Principal.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
  • Futures oriented and strategic.

The successful applicant will demonstrate knowledge of the IB PYP and a strong connectedness and knowledge of the Australian Curriculum in the P-6 Years.
