About this job

About us:

Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC) delivers a flexible and future-focused senior education program for young people aged 15 to 18 who have experienced barriers in mainstream schooling. Through personalised learning, strong relationships and targeted support, students re-engage with education, achieve their Queensland Certificate of Education and transition to training, university or employment.

Our strengths-based and trauma-informed approach creates safe, inclusive learning environments where students are known and supported to succeed.

Your Role:

As Head of Campus - Metropolitan North, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Bracken Ridge and Moreton Bay campuses. You will lead QPSC's shared educational vision, strengthen teaching and learning, and ensure both campuses provide consistent, high-quality support for students.

Working with the Executive Leadership Team, staff and community partners, you will build a positive culture grounded in Respect, Belief and Unity and align educational, wellbeing and operational priorities to improve student engagement, achievement and pathways.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Maintaining a visible leadership presence and overseeing effective day-to-day operations across both campuses.
  • Translating QPSC's strategic direction into clear campus priorities, informed by student achievement, attendance, engagement and wellbeing data.
  • Setting high expectations and strengthening staff practice through coaching, collaboration and professional learning.
  • Ensuring students receive coordinated educational and wellbeing support to achieve their QCE and transition successfully beyond school.
  • Connecting families, schools, agencies, training providers, industry and community organisations around student success.
  • Overseeing workforce, budgets, facilities, risk and compliance across both sites.
  • Contributing to whole-school leadership and improvement across QPSC's nine campuses, leading a nominated portfolio area from our strategic priorities.

About You:

You will be a future-focused and values-based leader who combines a strong educational focus with the judgement and organisation needed to lead two complex campuses.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong record of leading curriculum, teaching and learning, with confident knowledge of senior schooling, QCE requirements, VET and post-school pathways.
  • Exceptional relational leadership, with the ability to build trust, foster collaboration and inspire high-performing teams while developing strong partnerships with families, community organisations and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic and analytical capability, including using evidence to shape priorities and evaluate impact.
  • Effective management of people, finances and facilities to achieve high-quality organisational outcomes.

Your capacity to develop and maintain an organisational culture based on ethical professional and personal behaviours and corporate values will be assessed through referee checks and explored at interview.

To Apply:

  • Attach a current CV, including contact details for two professional referees, one of whom is your current or most recent supervisor.
  • Attach a 2-page written response outlining your suitability for the role and addressing the first four key capabilities under “How you will be assessed”.
  • Attach a copy of your Current full registration, or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland is mandatory.
