About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Deliver collaborative educational support with school-based staff and external providers to assist students transitioning into, within, and out of hospital and alternative education settings.
  • Provide professional expertise and leadership to health teams, school communities, and external stakeholders to design and implement plans, programs, and procedures that support positive educational and lifelong learning outcomes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of preventative and early intervention programs that respond to students' personal, social, emotional, and educational needs, fostering resilience and skill development.
  • Promote and lead the use of age-appropriate, differentiated, and trauma-informed pedagogical practices to support student engagement, wellbeing, behaviour, and learning.
  • Conduct assessments, observations, and consultations with students and families to inform educational adjustments, SET Plans, and best-practice support for learning, mental health, and social development.
  • Provide leadership, case management, and accountability for comprehensive student support programs, including responses to complex circumstances, while engaging in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development.
