St Thomas’ Catholic Primary School is seeking a Groundsperson with a genuine passion for their work to deliver a range of services for the upkeep, maintenance and development of our school grounds and facilities.

Duties for this position include:
  • Minor landscaping work;
  • Maintaining clean and tidy school grounds;
  • Routine trade and non-trade maintenance and repairs;
  • Providing feedback into planning, preparing and development of school grounds;
  • Liaising with onsite contractors;
  • Inventory management for grounds supplies and materials;
  • Liaise with various internal and external personnel on issues of lost property and damage to facilities;
  • Assist with setting up significant school events;
  • Compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
The successful applicant will have previous experience in a groundskeeping role, ideally in a school environment. Experience in landscaping, trade or general maintenance is also preferred.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
