Hourly Rate: $26.80 - $29.18

The Grounds and Maintenance Staff position at Cathedral Catholic Primary School requires an individual who is not only skilled in general grounds and facilities upkeep but also has the capacity to support the school’s broader needs, including assisting with technical aspects like sound systems. To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
About you (Selection Criteria)
The new Grounds and Maintenance Officer will:
- Current Working with Children Check and valid driver’s licence (HR licence preferred.)
- A commitment to support the values and ethos of Catholic education and the ability to contribute to a positive, safe, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and the broader school community.
- Experience in grounds and maintenance in a school setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of sound systems, including microphones, speakers, and musical equipment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards and the ability to conduct regular safety inspections on grounds and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff and respond to maintenance needs along with the ability to work independently & prioritise tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage maintenance requests and liaise with tradespeople.
- The Physical capability to perform manual tasks.
