We are currently recruiting strong Graduate Teaching Assistants from all subject areas to work in a prestigious secondary school based in central London. The role will be full time, Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4pm, term time only, and will be to begin asap and January 2025.

Graduate Teaching Assistant responsibilities include:

  • supporting students including those with special educational needs
  • working proactively to help students achieve their attainment levels
  • encouraging students to engage proactively with their learning
  • helping to provide a safe environment for children to learn
  • assisting the teacher with students general learning and development

    • As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be:

  • knowledgeable and experienced in special needs and learning difficulties
  • a strong communicator, able to build a rapport with young people
  • patient and empathetic
  • reliable and committed to the school and students' improvement
  • enthusiastic and engaging
  • able to work alongside the teacher and independently
  • certifications and attendance to training courses for SEN are beneficial, as well as first hand experience with SEN.

    • Ideally you will already have some experience of working with young people, particularly those with additional needs, or you may be considering furthering your career in education as a teacher. As well as having a degree. Maths, English and Science GCSEs grades A-C are desirable but not essential.

    You will need to have a DBS on the update service - if you do not have one you will need to apply for one which you can do so through Veritas.
