We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Hackney. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students in achieving their full potential and kickstarting a career in education.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with Subject Teachers, the SENCo and other Graduate TAs, supporting students across KS3 and KS4. Your role will involve providing one‑to‑one and small‑group intervention, reinforcing class learning, and helping to raise attainment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to boost student progress
  • Assist with classroom management and preparation of learning materials
  • Work closely with teachers to identify and support students with additional learning needs
  • Provide consistent encouragement, motivation, and feedback to pupils
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

    • Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree in any subject
  • Previous experience working with young people (school, tutoring or mentoring experience ideal)
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to helping students succeed
  • Ability to motivate and support learners of all abilities
