The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support teaching and learning within the Maths and/or Science departments

Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to students, helping them engage with challenging concepts

Assist teachers with lesson preparation and practical activities

Build positive relationships with pupils and help them develop confidence

Gain hands‑on classroom experience ideal for future teacher training applications

Be a valued part of a dynamic staff team that encourages collaboration, creativity, and continuous professional development

This role is perfect for someone who is:

Academically strong, with a degree in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field

A natural communicator, able to explain ideas clearly and patiently

Personable and approachable, with the ability to connect with young people

Resilient and proactive, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Curious and reflective, always looking to improve and understand how students learn best

Passionate about education and considering a career as a teacher in the future
