Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Maths/Science or Core Subject Graduate)

Location: Lambeth, London

Are you a recent graduate with a background in Maths, Science, or another core subject? Are you passionate about supporting young people as they prepare for their GCSEs? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in Lambeth, London.

In this role, you'll be working with secondary students, providing classroom support, with a focus on those who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support secondary students in their GCSE studies, particularly in Maths, Science, or other core subjects.
  • Provide tailored assistance to students with EHCPs, ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum.
  • Work alongside teachers to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Help to foster students' academic progress, social development, and confidence.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure that the individual needs of all students are met.

    • Ideal Candidate:

  • A graduate in Maths, Science, or another core subject/psychology.
  • Experience working with students in a mainstream or SEN setting is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting students' educational journeys.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team, adapting to the diverse needs of students.
  • Commutable to Lambeth
