General Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Lancaster)

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 08:30-15:30 - Start Date Monday 23rd February 2026 until at least July 2026

Are you passionate about working with children and supporting their learning journey? A welcoming primary school in Lancaster is seeking a dedicated General Teaching Assistant to provide whole‑school support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

This role is ideal for:

  • Teacher or Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain more classroom experience
  • Teaching Assistants who want to broaden their skills across the primary phase
  • What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of a Level 2 TA qualification (or above)
  • Enthusiasm, resilience, and a genuine interest in supporting children's learning
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A flexible approach, as you may work across different year groups
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Your Role

  • Providing learning support across the whole school
  • Assisting class teachers with classroom activities and preparation
  • Supporting pupils with varying needs to help them reach their potential
  • Helping maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Contributing to the wider school community and ethos
  • Hours & Contract

  • 09:00-15:30, Monday to Friday
  • Term‑time only
  • Long‑term and immediate start available (depending on the school's needs)
