EYFS / Primary Student Supervisor
Role: Student Supervisor Location: Wembley, Brent, NW London Start Date: 27th August 2024Commitment: 1 Academic Year (Until July 2025), Term-Time onlyWorking Hours: 30-35 hours, Monday-Friday
A fantastic, Ofsted Outstanding French bilingual school in Wembley are looking to appoint a French speaking Student Supervisor to join their prestigious school in the new academic year. This independent, all-through school boasts top-of-the-range facilities and amenities and an environment where staff and pupils feel valued and supported.
As a Pastoral Student Supervisor, you will contribute to delivering an exceptional provision that supports student wellbeing, learning and safeguarding outside the classroom. The role requires you to demonstrate good organisational and strong communication skills to effectively engage with children and parents.
Key responsibilities
Supervise EYFS or Primary students of all ages during non-classroom hours: e.g. recess, toilet breaks, lunchtime, after-school care provision, recess, etc.Lead students in engaging and age-appropriate activities during recess and afterschool care provisionOccasionally assist with personal care, including toilet useMonitor student arrivals and departures from the school premises, keeping the attendance recordsAssist ASP leaders and teachers in moving safely the students from a place to another where neededAssist teachers with maintaining the classrooms and cloakrooms hygienic and tidyManage student behaviour and conflicts by applying the school's code of conductReport incidents or concerns in a prompt and accurate mannerMonitor students' emotional well-being and developmental progressBuild and maintain effective communication and outstanding relationships with parentsChaperone students on class outingsProvide first aid care when requiredUndertake occasional administrative dutiesEducation & experience
Previous experience in education or child care sectors desirableSpeaking French is a plusStrong knowledge of what safeguarding & child protection entailsGood listening and communication skillsAbility to strike a balance between discipline and supportTeam playerAccountable and punctualAbility to deal appropriately with sensitive or confidential informationCalm and patient under pressureAbility to adapt/react effectively to any circumstancesComputer literateBenefits:
