We have a fantastic opportunity for a Food Technology Assistant to join Penola Catholic College and work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As the Food Technology Assistant you will be responsible for providing assistance to Food Technology Teachers in the classroom. This will include assisting students under the direction of the Teacher. You will also ensure that ingredients are ordered, prepared and available in portions where necessary for each class. Equipment needs to be made available checked and cleaned after use. Some after hours work may be required at certain times throughout the year.
This is a 12 month fixed term part time four days per week position. The hours would be Monday to Thursday for between 22 to 27 hours per week and will commence on 28 January 2025 or by negotiation.
About You
To be successful you will have a knowledge and experience in the food handling, an interest in cooking and will enjoy working with young people. You must also hold a current Food Handling certificate. You will also be able to guide and assist others. You will have or be willing to obtain a current Working With Children Check and National Police Records Check.
You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
