About our school: St Columba's Primary School is located in the inner northern Brisbane suburb of Wilston with an approximate enrolment of 540 students. About the role -
The successful applicant will be managing the day-to-day operational financial transactions, including the end of month BAS, School fees, along with managing the Tuckshop, Uniform Shop, P&F transactions once we absorb their finances.

Teachers will also appreciate the support of the Finance Officer in navigating the buying platform, along with managing school excursions and camps. In conjunction with the principal, setting the school budget is another important task. The Finance Officer works full time including a few additional weeks in the school holidays.

About you - We need a person with a strong financial background, with great attention to detail, who works calmly under pressure. The successful applicant will need to work within a busy school office environment. Knowledge of the BCE financial packages is not essential, however it may be an advantage.


To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
