Your Responsibilities 

As the Finance Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Provide advice to school staff regarding financial management including accounts payable and receivable, asset accounting, banking, budgeting and reporting, financial policy and delegations, financial systems usage and taxation.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of school business priorities and service delivery objectives.
  • Assist in analysis of the financial management practices and financial performance of schools, identification of system or policy issues, and monitor the level of financial management competencies within schools.
  • Assist administration of team activity including supporting workshop delivery and tracking workplace activity

Skills we are looking for in our next Finance Officer:

  • Ability to provide financial advice and support to stakeholders.
  • Ability to create models to assist tracking, interpretation and analysis (utilising Microsoft Excel, Power BI).
  • High level communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Exceptional coordination and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of financial management policies and legislation that impact schools
