About the Role:

As the Finance Officer, you will:

  • Assist and support budget preparation and provide reporting, analysis and advice in relation to operational issues impacting financial management in schools and the region.
  • Assist in supporting schools and regions to enhance their financial capability and compliance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide advice and support to school staff regarding information on financial management issues and requirement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with central office contacts, and schools and regions to enable a sound understanding of business priorities and service delivery objectives.
  • Provide or assist in providing training to schools and/or the region around financial management policies, procedures and practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of Executive Management Reports and monthly business reports, submissions, briefing materials and correspondence on budget and financial issues.
  • Assist in identification of system or policy issues and monitor the level of financial management competencies within schools and the region.
  • Model professional workplace behaviour by working collaboratively with colleagues, clients and stakeholders to achieve objectives and standards of excellence in all areas of responsibility
