About the Role
As the Finance Officer, you will:
- Maintain and reconcile departmental bank accounts in a timely and efficient manner and provide operational advice and services relating to the maintenance and reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare accurate daily cash flow reports for the department, meeting externally imposed deadlines.
There are no subordinate positions reporting directly to the position, however the position will have responsibility to assist and support subordinate staff members of the accounts receivable and banking team to ensure bank accounts are managed accurately.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Resolve problems and assist in the development and implementation of financial processes and systems, which focus on best practice, to achieve real and measurable change and productivity improvements.
- Monitor and maintain financial management processes, particularly in relation to bank account transaction types into the SAP system and through the bank supplied software, in an accurate and timely manner.
- Contribute expertise in assisting schools with bank reconciliation and bank transaction processes and procedures using the OneSchool/ Agresso finance system.
- Operationally manage work priorities and schedule work commitments to meet agreed service standards.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Teams to ensure the timely processing and identification of payments and receipts of the department.
