Veritas Education is looking to appoint a Female Sports Coach to support PE departments within a secondary school in the Wakefield area. This role involves delivering and assisting with girls' PE lessons, leading small groups, and supporting extra-curricular sporting activities across KS3 and KS4.
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning and delivery of girls' PE lessons across a range of sports.Supervise groups of students during practical activities and fixtures.Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, inclusion, and participation.Deliver sessions independently where required.Assist with lunchtime and after-school sports clubs.Provide encouragement, guidance, and pastoral support in line with school policies and safeguarding expectations.Requirements
Experience coaching or teaching sport (school or club setting).Confident leading physical activities with secondary-aged students.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A passion for promoting physical activity, wellbeing, and engagement.An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one through Veritas Education.Relevant coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.What We Offer
