About the School:

Ripley Central State School (Prep to year 6) is located in the growing Ripley area and opened in Term 1, 2023. We are planned in stages of development to cater for just over 1200 students. The school site is situated in an estate named Ripley Valley and will be located on Binnies Road. Our staff have exceptional relational skills, are driven to build a positive, welcoming and supportive school culture and willing to commit to the school's development and expediential growth. About the Role:

As a newly formed permanent full time position, this is an exciting opportunity for our new school.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with external contractors and supervision of the stage 2 build.
  • Scheduling and managing maintenance activities and implementing and monitoring process and policy for the issue of school keys to staff, hirers and community users.
  • As a member of the HS&W committee you will conduct inspections to ensure building and facilities comply with all security and safety requirements.
  • You will supervise maintenance of buildings and grounds, and procurement of furniture and fittings as well as support capital works projects and arrange the coordination of minor works.
  • As the Facilities Supervisor you will manage Work Area Access Permits (WAAP) for all contractors on school grounds and oversee facility hire activities including liaison with hirers and development of hire agreements for approval.
  • This role supports the Business Manager to oversee cleaning operations including the review of cleaning areas and supervision of cleaning staff and the schools officer.
  • You will work closely with the Business Manager to identify maintenance requirements in accordance with Maintenance Assessment Report and school needs.
  • This position is line managed by the Business Manager.
