Our school is a co-educational school of 1700 students, located in the beautiful, leafy Centenary area of Brisbane. Set on a gentle, sloping hill only a kilometre to the Brisbane River, Centenary State High School allows for a very peaceful environment for learning.

About the Role

Centenary State High School is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to manage and maintain school facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and well-presented environment for students, staff, and the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilities & Maintenance Management - Liaising with external contractors, scheduling maintenance, overseeing building and grounds upkeep, and procuring furniture and fittings.
  • Security & Compliance - Implementing and monitoring key access policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring all facilities meet security and safety requirements.
  • Capital Works & Minor Projects - Supporting capital works initiatives and coordinating minor improvements.
  • Contractor & Cleaning Supervision - Managing Work Area Access Permits (WAAP) for contractors, overseeing cleaning operations, and supervising cleaning staff.
  • Facility Hire & Telecommunications - Managing facility hire agreements and ensuring efficient operation of the school's telecommunications system.
  • Operational & Administrative Support - Assisting with uniform stock control, providing administrative support, and implementing process improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborating with Business Managers, departmental officers, and community representatives to uphold high service standards.
