About Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC):
QPSC delivers a 12-month senior transitions program to vulnerable students that are still wanting to complete their senior studies, however, have found it difficult to succeed at this in mainstream schooling. Many of our students have experienced anxiety, depression, homelessness or trauma. By developing a safe and supportive environment, these students are able to achieve their goals and positively move onto pathways in further learning (TAFE or university) or employment.
About the Role:
As the Facilities Officer, you will:
- Oversee the daily operations of facility management in the school including the security, safety, grounds, cleaning and hire of school fleet, venue/s and grounds
- Undertake and/or supervise a team undertaking planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs, cleaning and administrative services for the school
Responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain systems, registers, processes and procedures to administer transactions related to facilities management and reporting including Work Area Access Permits (WAAP), WH&S incidents and oversee and/or undertake administration remotely across 12 sites.
- Oversee and maintain school facilities, grounds and fleet vehicles, including access permits, keys and alarms, servicing, cleaning, maintenance and identify minor works
- Organise and support campus staff with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair requests, assigning and prioritising tasks and arranging for external contractors as required
- Conduct research, source, and recommend new equipment purchases to support the school's expansion. Manage assets and oversee stocktake across all sites.
Our ideal candidate will possess these qualities:
- Highly organised and self-motivated and able to remotely oversee 12 campuses across Queensland.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, coupled with exceptional digital skills and verbal communication abilities.
- Able to work independently and demonstrate experience in facilities management. Previous experience in a facilities role, particularly within an educational setting, would be highly advantageous.
