The Facilities and Grounds Support Officer is responsible for providing effective and efficient support services in a wide variety of tasks and activities to maintain and enhance the effective operation of the school.
In this role, the Facilities & Grounds Support Officer will assist maintenance of facilities within the school and also assists with daily operations and major events at the school.
Other roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the equipment and plant maintenance repairs including carrying out tasks allotted under the grounds and garden maintenance plan.
- Removal of rubbish and debris from garden and grounds areas including the emptying of bins and disposing of waste material to maintain a clean, tidy and litter-free school building and grounds environment.
- Perform general maintenance
- Assist with facilities and grounds maintenance for events and functions, such as assemblies, exams, masses, sporting events, carnivals and information evenings.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
