???? About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and proactive Nursery/EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team across primary schools in Kirklees. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and eager to support children as they take their first steps in education.

As part of the Early Years team, you will work closely with class teachers, SEN staff and school leaders to create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children aged 3-5 in line with the EYFS framework
  • Assisting with planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support where needed
  • Helping to create a safe, welcoming and inspiring learning environment
  • Observing and recording children's progress
  • Supporting children with personal care routines when required
  • Building positive relationships with children, staff and families
  • Contributing to the wider Early Years team and school community

    • What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with young children in an Early Years or primary setting
  • A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • A warm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Childcare or Supporting Teaching & Learning) are desirable but not essential for the right candidate
