Veritas Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded, specialist early years and pre-preparatory school in Southwark to recruit an exceptional EYFS / KS1 Class Teacher for a September 2026 start.

The successful candidate will join a passionate team focused on supporting pupils' academic progress, creativity, wellbeing, and personal development. Teaching is underpinned by a rich, play-based and exploratory approach in EYFS, evolving into a carefully structured and engaging KS1 curriculum that maintains curiosity and enjoyment in learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience within EYFS and/or KS1, with a strong understanding of early child development
  • A passion for play-based, child-centred learning and supporting progression into more formal learning
  • The ability to deliver a creative, cross-curricular curriculum that engages and inspires young learners
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the EYFS / KS1 curriculum, tailored to individual needs
  • Create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe and confident
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development, fostering independence and resilience
  • Use ongoing assessment to inform teaching and ensure strong progress for all learners
