Your Role:

As the Executive Officer, you will provide professional, efficient and confidential support to the Regional Director and the executive leadership team. Based in Rockhampton, you will oversee the smooth coordination of daily operations, support executive decision‑making, manage high‑level correspondence, and contribute to research tasks, project work and committee support activities. This role requires a proactive individual who can navigate competing priorities and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating day‑to‑day executive office operations and ensuring the efficient flow of business.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support including diary management, correspondence coordination, travel and meeting arrangements.
  • Supporting committees and projects by preparing agendas, minutes and briefing materials, and following up on action items.
  • Managing communications and maintaining strong liaison with senior departmental officers, government representatives and stakeholders.
  • Developing and improving administrative systems, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and processes.

You will bring:

  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive‑level correspondence and documentation.
  • Proven ability to work with discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build productive working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work autonomously while meeting deadlines.
