About Us:

The Early Childhood Division is responsible for approving and regulating early childhood services under the relevant legislation; funding kindergarten and long day care services to deliver quality kindergarten programs in Queensland; funding support services for families to enable early childhood development and promoting successful transitions from home to early childhood education to school, for children and families.

Your Role:

The Executive Coordinator will provide high quality administrative and executive support for the Deputy Director-General (DDG), Early Childhood.

As the Executive Coordinator, you will possess the skills and have the responsibility for the following:

  • Demonstrated outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Coordinate and arrange all travel for the DDG
  • Proven ability to effectively coordinate on behalf of executive leadership
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • An ability to quickly establish strong relationships
  • Skills in compiling meeting notes and agendas, and drafting correspondence
  • Other duties as required to support the broader Office of the DDG, Early Childhood Team.

About You:

We're looking for someone with:

  • Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail and coordination skills;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities;
  • Proven ability to exercise good judgement and responsible decisions taking into consideration discretion and privacy;
  • understanding of government processes, policies and procedures; and
  • proficient use and understanding of departmental applications including Corporate Travel Management system and ProMaster.
