St Joseph's College Coomera is a Brisbane Catholic Education master planned co-educational College that opened in January 2019. Our first Seniors graduated in 2024. The College is located in Coomera on the Northern Gold Coast, 40 minutes south of the Brisbane CBD.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional to join our executive team.
The Executive Assistant to the Principal will work in close partnership with the College Principal and Leadership Team, and as such the successful applicant will demonstrate outstanding levels of professionalism and discretion.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate commitment to Excellence in the provision of professional services; outstanding communication skills; a positive disposition and a genuine desire to work in partnership with College staff, students and families.
Under the direct supervision of the Principal, duties will include, but are not limited to:
Executive Support:
-Provide executive support to the Principal on all areas of school management.
-Provide executive support to senior management and associated committees concerning designated aspects of school management.
-Assist Principal and Business Manager with school compliance calendar.
-Finance support to the Business Manager
Marketing:
-Managing marketing and advertising requirements of the College, including the College Facebook page and Website.
-Original writing of promotional and advertising material.
-Coordination of, and participation in, marketing activities including annual School Photos.
-Design of promotional and marketing plans.
HR Management
-Direct and supervise the work of administrative/clerical and/or other staff
-Under broad guidance, supervise the operations of the College’s office & other administrative activities.
-Provide training at times for a range of general staff.
-Provide advice requiring knowledge of policies and / or the interpretation of rules or regulations within their area of operation.
-Assist in developing policy and procedures relating to their work area and identifying future trends.
-Under broad guidance supervise the administration of specialised salary and payroll requirements, including preparation of staffing contracts.
-Manage recruitment process for College staff and give advice/instruction regarding payroll/recruitment processes.
Events & Meetings:
-Manage meetings, prepare and distribute agendas and other relevant documentation and reports as required.
-Manage minutes of meeting and follow up of all meeting material and designated actions.
-Ensure all required documentation for appointments and meetings is available for the Principal.
-Arrange programmes for College events, meetings or conferences by booking facilities, organising catering, issuing information/invitations, coordinating speakers and formulating guest lists.
General:
-Screening all incoming phone calls for the Principal, manage confidential correspondence, and responding on behalf of the Principal within authorised level of knowledge.
-Managing input of the College master calendar in collaboration with the Leadership team.
-Manage school-based Professional Development course creation in iLearn, record staff attendance for professional learning accountability purposes.
-Provide hospitality for visitors being mindful of special dietary requirements.
-Coordinate travel and accommodation.
-Other duties commensurate with the overall purpose of the position which the Principal may require from time-to-time.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
