About the Role:

As the Executive Assistant you will:

  • Coordinate the daily flow of business and provide confidential administrative and executive support to the Assistant Director-General (ADG) and Office of the ADG.
  • Arrange appointments, meetings and travel, and receive visitors to the Office.
  • Coordinate diary appointments and maintain effective time management practices for the ADG.
  • Maintain effective and efficient liaison between the Office, senior officers of the department and other government representatives and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support in preparation for, or at meetings by sourcing or preparing documentation, taking minutes and monitoring follow up actions.
  • Develop and implement executive support systems and processes, and be committed to continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to daily operations of the Office, as required.

  • Demonstrates initiative and problem solves to identify issues before they arise and provide solutions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships within a team environment and with key stakeholders.
