About the Department:

As the Department of Education enters an exciting phase implementing the new education strategy, Equity and Excellence: Realising the potential of every student, we are investing in the capability of educational leaders and teachers through a new Education Futures Institute, tasked with empowering educators and leaders to build professional expertise across their careers through high-quality, targeted development opportunities. You will join a highly supportive team and be responsible for supporting the Executive Director, Education Futures Institute by delivering quality business support and confidential administrative and executive services.

About the role
As an Executive Assistant you will support senior leaders and the Education Futures Institute by providing professional, efficient and confidential executive and project support.

Responsibilities include:

  • managing day-to-day operations and administering the flow of internal and outgoing correspondence
  • providing confidential project support including research and coordinating briefing papers, preparing presentations and templates
  • arranging appointments, meetings and forums including venues, travel arrangements and accommodation
  • applying financial management principles including procurement guidelines
  • actively participate and cooperate within the team environment to facilitate consistent delivery of support services within the branch; and
  • contribute to a positive, productive and professional team culture.
