Your Role:

We are specifically seeking applicants with a strong knowledge of arts and events, with the capability to read music being favourable for one of the two available positions.

As the Event Assistant you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Assist in the dissemination of project and event information including music books, teaching and music resources to teachers, parents, students and key stakeholders.
  • Support the category coordinators in the delivery of various operational elements, including the preparation of planning and logistical documentation
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with the Programs and Events team and contractors to ensure the success of event delivery.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, students and stakeholders to organise elements of the event as required. Rehearsals and performances will often be scheduled on weekends and outside of normal working hours.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the production team for the successful delivery of CGEN and other events delivered by the Programs and Events Unit.

Mandatory requirements:

Successful applicants must have:

  • A current blue card
  • A willingness to obtain first aid training (annual training provided)
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite
  • Driver's license and access to a vehicle (desirable, not mandatory)
