About the Role
The Classroom Teacher Aide will play a vital role in supporting students with disability in an inclusive learning environment. Working closely with teachers and support staff, the successful candidate will help students engage with learning activities, develop independence, and fully participate in school life.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students with disability.
- Assisting with differentiated learning tasks and implementing individual learning or support plans.
- Supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Helping students with personal care and mobility, as required.
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
This role would suit a compassionate and patient individual with a passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
About You
The following traits would be beneficial:
- Experience working with students with disability or in an educational support role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to assist with personal care and mobility support, as required.
- Relevant training or qualifications in education support or a related field.
