Your Role:

As the Senior Advisor - Occupational Therapy, you will have the opportunity to lead the provision of occupational therapy services and provide expert advice that supports curriculum delivery and students with disability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and professional supervision at a regional level in the delivery of safe, high-quality effective occupational therapy services.
  • Provide strategic advice on policy development and implementation and needs-based resourcing related to occupational therapy services within the region.
  • Significantly contribute to the development of statewide programs, policies, operational standards and procedures to support occupational therapy services across the state.
  • Undertake the supervision and professional development planning for the occupational therapy team in Metropolitan South Region.
  • Advise on matters relating to the delivery of occupational therapy services in Metropolitan South Region and statewide.
  • Collaborate with regional and statewide clinical supervisors, including attending regional and statewide TANS and senior advisor meetings.
  • Support regional and statwide recruitment processes.
  • Participate in regional and statewide research and project work.

  • Established coaching skills.
  • Develop relationships required as the leader of a virtual team.
  • Collaborate to achieve service outcomes.
  • Advocacy skills informed by policy and data.
  • Skills to lead and collaborate virtually with regional and school contacts.
  • Located in Metropolitan South Region, or have the skills to lead and collaborate virtually from another region.
