About Chinchilla State School
Chinchilla State School has a diverse range of students and staff, having approximately 450 students and 60 staff. Our school has a strong focus on educational achievement, well-being and engagement and culture and inclusion. In 2024, we will pay particular attention to aligning our reading practices to the state-wide reading statement and familiarising our staff with the changes to the Australian Curriculum in English and Maths to be implemented in 2025.

About the Role
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Oversee maintenance of school grounds, including regular mowing, garden maintenance
- Support with a variety of security duties
- General facilities maintenance
- Immediate cleaning tasks
- Preparation of classrooms and assembly halls, including furniture moving and relocation
- Assist with event set-up and pack-down
- Provide basic maintenance of equipment
- Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
- Maintaining a safe work environment, including chemical/fertiliser/fuel storage
- Other duties as required by the Principal and Business Manager
This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
