This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.

About the Role

You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain Grounds / Facilities using industrial standard equipment
  • Ability to conduct minor repairs and maintenance to Grounds / Facilities within DoE guidelines
  • Capability to perform activities consistent with workplace, health and safety guidelines
  • Ability to liaise with various departmental personnel and external contractors on a variety of repair and maintenance issues
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
  • Drivers License and Blue Card is required.
  • Whilst there are no mandatory trade accreditations required, trade certifications and experience working in a school would be advantageous and highly regarded.
  • The school has beautiful green corridors and a strong environmental awareness ethos. Staff parking is available on site and the school is close to public transport, hardware stores and service providers.
  • The applicant must consent to a criminal history check.
