This continuous applicant pool is open for candidates interested in employment opportunities as a Principal and meet the mandatory employment requirements as detailed in the attached role descriptions. Applications will be reviewed and considered throughout 2024, if and when Principal vacancies are identified. The positions may range in duration up to a school semester.

The region will utilise this EOI pool for short term vacancies of up to 10 weeks duration. When considered appropriate, and for longer term vacancies, the region may also elect to progress a separate EOI or temporary advertisement, which will be available through Smart Jobs. Requests for relocation expenses/incentives may be discussed with suitable applicants on an individual, case by case basis in alignment with relevant directives.

State Schools Division develops the strategic direction for state schools, supported by operational policies and ensuring their implementation in regions and schools. As the Principal, you will play a vital role in:

  • delivering the vision of the department
  • improving the educational outcomes of students in their schools
  • developing the quality of teaching and learning
  • nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
1. Demonstrated leadership of a curriculum, teaching and learning environment, leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students.
2. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community.
