This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. 

The successful candidate will be employed at the classification listed on the attached role description under EOSD provisions.

Your Role

Responsibilities include: 

  • Leading the development and quality assurance of resources and capability programs that support school leaders and their teams to lead digital innovation in teaching and learning
  • Leading the development and quality assurance of resources and capability programs that support schools to explore and enhance digital learning in teaching and learning as part of their whole school approach to pedagogy, giving consideration to:
    • the appropriate use of digital tools, resources and environments
    • the use of effective digitally enabled and enhanced pedagogies
    • ways to build digital literacies, decisions and behaviours
    • leading the delivery of in-person and online masterclasses, workshops and communities of practice for school leaders and teachers (Note that some travel is required)
    • collaborating with the project leadership and governance team, and supervising and building the capability of the project team (including project officers and administrative staff)
    • collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that a range of perspectives are included
    • reviewing, interpreting and responding to administrative and organisational requirements, requests, policies and processes. 

Mandatory Requirements: 

  • You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award - State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher and should be aware that temporary internal moves for the purposes of the department's payroll processes are referred to as internal secondments. 
  • Employees' engaged temporarily as Education Officer - Special Duties have a requirement of 36¼ hours per week attendance and arrangements as outlined in clause 5.12 of the Department of Education State School Teachers' Certified Agreement 2022
  • When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
