Your Role
As the International Student Coordinator, you will contribute to the provision of high-quality support services for our international students, ensuring compliance with Education Queensland International (EQI) policies and procedures while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Enrol international students and provide them with textbooks, individual timetables, and support materials.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, health cover, visa details, and academic progress.
- Coordinate and deliver orientation programs to help students adjust to life and study in Queensland.
- Monitor student welfare, including their adjustment, behaviour, and health, ensuring appropriate support and escalation when needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, host families, and EQI staff to build strong relationships.
- Collaborate with the International Student Homestay Coordinator to manage homestay arrangements for students and visiting groups.
- Plan and coordinate study tours and professional visits, ensuring smooth execution and positive experiences.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Education (DoE) and EQI policies and legislative requirements.
- Identify and facilitate access to support services, such as counselling, to address student needs.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay updated on best practices and compliance requirements.
