About the School
Kenmore State High School is a highly regarded school in the western suburbs of Brisbane. Founded in 1972, the school has grown to an enrolment of 2000 in 2024. The school is located in a very attractive setting on the delightful Moggill Creek. The local community is very supportive of our school and encourages its young people to pursue education as a priority.

About the Role
As the Head of Department - Student Services (Year 7), you will have the following accountabilities:
- Lead initiatives that enhance the Engagement, Belonging, Wellbeing and Behaviour Support of every student in your Year Level.
- Work with the Student Support Services Team to provide support and intervention with students who are experiencing significant barriers in accessing their learning through academic, behaviour and/or social emotional engagement concerns.
- Implement Year Level Events in partnership with the Shadow Heads of Year for whole cohort activities to develop a sense of year-level identity and belonging (e.g. Year level assemblies, meaning projects and celebrations).
- Promote positive education (PERMAH) to embed practices that support every student to flourish in their education at Kenmore SHS
- Uphold the school values and expectations through your strong/excellent leadership skills.
- Liaise with parents, teachers and support staff of Year 7 students to provide support and guidance for students when needed.
