Your Role

The Head of Year will work as a key member of our School Leadership Team to create a positive cohort Junior or Middle school culture, set clear standards and expectations and enact proactive and responsive programs and support strategies for students. This will be achieved by creating strong partnerships with teachers, support staff, parents and external organisations and having a sharp focus on attendance, learning engagement, behaviour and wellbeing.

The Head of Year will support students to transition into and within junior and middle schooling and identify appropriate learning pathways for individual junior or middle phase students.

The successful candidate will act strategically, solve problems proactively, communicate effectively, possess strong emotional intelligence and work collaboratively to support student engagement. You will influence staff capability development through your effective leadership, role modelling and support for professional learning.
