About Yarrabilba State School
Yarrabilba State School first opened its doors in 2018 welcoming 375 foundation students on day 8. As foundation principal I am working closely with the Yarrabilba community to bring the vision of the new state school into fruition. We are creating a school that will be the pride of the fast growing community of Yarrabilba and the immediate surrounding areas.
Students at Yarrabilba State School are privileged to be educated in a modern facility ensuring they have what they need to be successful 21st century learners. Our facilities are state of the art, including innovation workshops for robotics and science, dedicated music rooms, resource centre with green room for video recording and modern flexible classroom learning spaces with kitchenettes for practical learning.
About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
