Your Role

As the Executive Officer you will:

Be responsible for the provision of professional, efficient and confidential support to the nominated senior executive Office. Provide administrative duties to support the executive leadership team and undertake short term research tasks, projects and written assignments, including review and editing of Ministerial and division correspondence in accordance with instructions and timelines determined by the Executive Director.

The Executive Officer reports to the Principal Advisor, Office of the Executive Director - Strategy and Services Planning.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated individual who will be responsible for the provision of professional, efficient and confidential support to the Office of the Executive Director - Strategy and Services Planning.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Organisational and time management skills; research and analytical skills; business/ process improvement capability; attention to detail; ability to quickly establish good rapport with key stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships; high level communication and interpersonal skills; and experience in use of correspondence tracking and electronic diary management systems.
  • The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate proficiency across Microsoft Excel, OneNote, and Outlook, as well as high level time management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • You will be a team player, proactive, willing to learn and be able to manage a range of issues in a time sensitive manner.
