Centred at the heart of the Griffin community, a group of 18 staff, 246 learners and their families took the first steps on our journey of learning.

About the Role

As the Early Years Support Coordinator your responsibilities include:

  • Plan and undertake a community engagement strategy (outreach) to connect families with the KindyLinQ program.
  • Work in partnership with the KindyLinQ Teacher to refine and/or target aspects of the program in ways that: respond to priority populations of the local community; enhances the capabilities of children and families; supports their needs and interests; and strengthens the confidence of parents/caregivers in understanding how to support and enrich their child's learning and development.
  • Support families to draw on the strategies and experiences shared at KindyLinQ and continue to use these in the home environment
  • Work with the school to strengthen partnerships with local early childhood services and community agencies to support pathways to Kindergarten and wrap around support for enhanced child and family wellbeing.
  • Share information about KindyLinQ with local services and agencies
  • Investigate and coordinate targeted visits by key local agencies into KindyLinQ sessions e.g. regular visits by a Child Health Nurse, Nutritionist, Librarian, approved kindergarten providers/educators.
