Kimberley Park State School was opened in 1985 and has a reputation of being a leading school in the Logan district. Our school has approximately 750 students enrolled from Prep to Year 6.
We offer a Program of Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Robotics, Music, Performing arts and Physical education, with a large range of opportunities for extension and enrichment. Our other signature programs include Japanese (Language and Culture studies Prep to Year 6), Visual arts (Prep to Year 6 program) and excellence in Instrumental music.

About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Perform general cleaning duties across the school, including surfaces, furniture, windows, toilets, sick bays, and floors, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Maintain indoor and outdoor areas through tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, hosing, rubbish removal, graffiti cleaning, and cobweb/mildew control.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and manage consumables in consultation with the Principal/Business Manager.
- Support school security by locking/unlocking buildings and activating or disarming security systems as required.
- Liaise with school leadership to report maintenance, safety, and security issues, and direct visitors to appropriate personnel.
Highly desirable skills and experience:
- Previous cleaning experience, particularly in a school or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to tasks.
