About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Sunderland. This is an exciting opportunity to teach KS3 and KS4 English Language and Literature in a school that prides itself on creating a calm, purposeful atmosphere where every child experiences excellence every day.

The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students to achieve their best. While the school offers outstanding support, confidence and competence in the classroom are essential.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons to students aged 11-16.
  • Inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
  • Support students to achieve their full potential and make the most of their talents.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive environment that values individuality and respect.

    • What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience teaching English at KS3 & KS4.
  • Ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a proactive approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain - we can assist).
