Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Support students' academic and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership to ensure the highest standards of teaching
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and extracurricular activities as required
  • Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of the English national curriculum
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for teaching and making a positive impact on students' learning
