Your Responsibilities
As the Engagement Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Daily reports on absenteeism, including SMS messages to parents/carers, advise and follow up with teachers on student absenteeism
- Collect and coordinate data to determine and document reasons for absences by students who are chronically absent.
- Monitor attendance as a means of increasing awareness of students experiencing problems, and to allow for intervention
- Creating student programs to engage
- Forge links between the school and families of students who show persistent absence from school to encourage attendance
- Identify barriers to students attending school and achieving outcomes by referral to appropriate support services, especially students at risk
- Other suitable duties, consistent with he duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
- Experience in OneSchool and ID Attend will be highly regarded.
