The Role: Strategic Influence and Pedagogical Innovation
Reporting directly to the Dean of Teaching and Learning K-12, you will go beyond traditional IT support to actively shape school policy and educational outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:

Lead AI and Digital Strategy: Drive the development of a unified K-12 AI and digital learning continuum, implementing strategic directives to ensure the safe, ethical, and productive use of generative AI (e.g. Gemini, NotebookLM) by all teaching staff.

Empower K-12 Faculty: Deliver high-impact pedagogical coaching and technical support across the school, specialising in empowering Junior School teachers with foundational AI literacy and consulting with Senior School educators on designing AI-resilient assessments and platform optimisation.

Oversee Digital Ecosystem: Provide strategic oversight for the K-12 digital learning environment, ensuring the holistic management and pedagogical integration of core platforms (e.g. SchoolBox, Edumate) and innovative AI tools to maximise instructional effectiveness.

Drive Staff Capability Building: Coordinate and lead comprehensive digital inductions and targeted AI literacy training for all teaching and support staff, significantly boosting their digital confidence and administrative efficiency.

Ensure Compliance and Governance: Serve as a subject matter expert on digital policy, ensuring all K-12 practices strictly comply with data privacy guidelines (Privacy Act), the Children's Online Privacy Code, and future transparency laws for Automated Decision-Making, reporting key metrics to the AI Governance and Literacy Team and the Information Technology and eLearning (ITEL) Committee.

Manage Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate transparent communication with parents regarding the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program, digital citizenship, and the school's strategic approach to integrating AI into their children's education.
About You

You possess exceptional pedagogical expertise, a preferred minimum of 5 years of highly effective K-12 classroom teaching experience, and deep technical fluency, including advanced proficiency in Google Workspace for Education (Gemini / NotebookLM), demonstrated proficiency in SchoolBox, and an understanding of Edumate.

You are accredited with, or eligible to obtain accreditation from, the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

Using your high emotional intelligence, you effectively coach and empower staff across the Junior and Senior Schools.

You exhibit a strong command of data privacy, regulatory compliance, and ethical AI deployment, with proven experience in enforcing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) anonymisation protocols for AI systems.
