Are you an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a primary school setting?

We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools throughout Wakefield and Kirklees from September. This role will involve supporting children within EYFS, helping them develop socially, emotionally and academically during the crucial early stages of their education.

The Role

  • Supporting children within Nursery and Reception classes.
  • Assisting with the delivery of engaging EYFS activities in line with the Early Years Framework.
  • Providing both general classroom support and 1:1 support where required.
  • Supporting children's learning through play-based activities.
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet the needs of all pupils.

    • Requirements

  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting is essential.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant childcare or education qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
