Veritas Education is currently recruiting Nursery Practitioners to join a number of welcoming and well-regarded nursery settings across York. We are looking for both Level 2 or Level 3 qualified practitioners and individuals with previous experience working with children, whether that's within a nursery, childcare, education, or similar setting.

With both full-time and part-time opportunities available, this is the perfect role for someone seeking flexibility while working in a rewarding and supportive environment.

Working in early years is about much more than childcare. You'll help children build confidence, develop essential life skills, and create positive memories during some of the most important years of their development. You'll be joining friendly teams that genuinely care about their staff, celebrate achievements, and provide opportunities to grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Supporting observations and learning journeys
  • Encouraging children's confidence, creativity, and independence
  • Following safeguarding and welfare procedures at all times

    • Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification preferred
  • Previous experience working with children preferred
  • A positive, caring, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework is beneficial
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children
